Description

Get your Freak on this season with the newest installment of this beloved Miken bat! The Freak FX700 is a 100% composite bat constructed with some of the most innovative technology on the market. The Freak starts out with Miken's R900 Carbon Fiber that provides 38.8% higher tensile strength and 40% higher elongation than the industry standard. This composite material is proven to endure grueling play and deliver unrivaled durability. Inside the barrel, Miken uses HBF Technology to create a multi-layer wall that is 100% "fully released" for extreme hot-out-of-the-wrapper play! Furthermore, the proprietary layering of these walls extends the barrel flex which results in a 20% larger sweetspot! This hitting surface is then perfected using Miken's Advanced Inner Flex Technology that delivers precisely calibrated handle flex and energy transfer to optimize barrel rebound. For the player this means maximum trampoline effect, maximum ball speed and maximum distance! The Freak is finished off with an Extreme X-Tack grip that gives players the optimal amount of tack for true comfort and bat control. Miken: Elite Equipment for the Elite Player! The Freak FX700 comes with a Full Twelve (12) Month Manufacturer's Warranty. Free Shipping!

Pros: Good to go right out of the wrapper. Was debating between this weight and the 27 ounce. Proud I went with this model as I have a lot of power. Very comfortable grip. Can feel the power when you hit the ball.

Cons: none so far.

Pros: The bat was not hot out of the wrapper took a few hundred ABs. It is now launching the ball. The sweet spot seems pretty large. When you hit it you dont feel the ball.

Cons: White grip is ugly but I just put black tape over it. You know when you dont hit the sweet spot

Pros: Unbelievable bat! Took wrapper off just before game time, no batting practice and three of our first four batters hit HRS and used up our HR limit. Best bat I have ever used!

Cons: Only can use it for one more year!!!

Pros: Feels great to swing, great for the base hitters out there. Not very happy with the long ball pop. I have about 200 swings in now, still holding out hope. It was a lot of money to give up now. Wish I went with the BJ Fulk Mayhem. That bat has mad pop right out of the wrapper.

Cons: No long ball pop!!!!!

Will this bat be legal in 2013? gabby
For USSSA starting Jan 1, 2013 all Softball bats must have the new USSSA mark on it's taper. This is an older model and will not feature the new mark making it illegal for 2013. The NEW 2013 Miken bats will have the new mark. Please see additional photos on bats to see this mark.
Kris
What is the typical break-in for this bat? And what balls do I need to hit with it? Josh
We typically recommend taking between 150-200 hits, either off of a tee or soft toss, starting at about 40% power and increasing the closer you get to the 200 hit mark. Also, make sure you rotate the bat about 1/4 of an inch in between each hit and use the same balls you would normally use in a game. After that, your bat should be good to go!
Jennifer

About the Brand

During the past few years, serious softball players have looked to Miken Sports for bats that provide the highest levels of performance and durability. Our relentless focus on both technology and the demands of players has made Miken the most demanded line of softball bats today.

Although composites are the latest trend in softball bats, the technology has been the core of Miken's success since the company's inception. Miken pioneered the modern high-performance composite softball bat in 1998 and has pushed the limits with every model since. No other bat company has driven innovation as hard, and the results are indisputable. Look around. If a player is serious about softball, they are most likely swinging a Miken bat.

The success of Miken Sports has been driven by two forces - innovation and a passion for delivering what players demand. The results are obvious. Players have decided that composites are the future for bats, and no one does composite like Miken.
