what about Bob

Pros: I'm not a home run hitter but this bat could easily change that the break-in process is very quick, 20 or 30 hits you can definitely hear and feel the difference, but after 6 games with just me hitting it and 2 rounds of BP (about 200 hits) this bat is ridiculous I am hitting line shots off 300' fences. Absolutely love this bat.

Cons: Should have purchased a 28 oz. instead of a 27 oz.

Pros: Very solid bat. Sound off of it is really nice and you can get a good piece of it off almost anywhere on the bat. Huge sweet spot.

Cons: Does have a small break-in period. I'm at about 50 hits and still getting hotter. The bat is way lighter than expected. 27 oz. model is almost too light. Go 1 oz. higher than you normally would.

Pros: Awesome pop. Took a while for me to get it going but now that its broken in, everyone better be watching out for lasers and bombs coming their way.

Cons: I get too excited at bat because of how much potential I can crush the ball that I can't get off a good bat to ball contact. Problem will soon be remedied.

Pros: Just picked this guy up I was getting major pop right out of the wrapper felt great. I went with the 28 ounce. I live by a major distributor and picked it up at the warehouse, guy said this is the bat he would buy if he didn't get free bats. This should be a $300 bat awesome deal.

Cons: White grip tape

Pros: Doesnt take long to break in. Only had about 50 balls on it before the first game. Then First pitch first batter GONE! Everybody starting using it after that. Total of 6 homeruns with the bat in the game. Fence shortest distance is 325. I've had the 454 Mutant ASA, the Combat Wanted ASA, and this bat beats them both! It's a keeper!

Cons: Samll break in period if that's even a con.

Pros: I've had this bat for almost 7 months I bought the 30 oz I should of gotten the 28 oz because of max end load it's a little harder to get the inside balls especially in my league where we pitch semi-fast also cause the of the maxload it's very easy to hit the ball with the end tip of the bat so calculate swings other than that the bat looks great feels good, I practice with it eventhough my league uses a harder ball 44. Miken is an awful company to deal with John Kuerner player

Pros: Bat felt good for the first 50 or so hits, going about 300 feet. Been a miken fan for years

Cons: 50 hits or so and the bat came apart, insides flew out broke on the inside and came right out of the bat. Since it was a gift I didn't have the receipt tried to get one but no luck, so Miken told me to send it anyway and then called me to tell me no receipt no warranty. Now I could understand this if it was just a crack or end cap, but really the insides came apart. So I just said send it back well they did after they cut it all apart. Hmm manufacturing defect for sure and they should have offered me something. Junk bat bad customer service, I'll never by a Miken bat again.

Have a question about the Miken Ultra 750X Maxload ASA Slow Pitch Softball Bat: SULTMA? Ask our team of experts and they will respond within 24 hours.

What bat is better the Ultra 750X Maxload or the Miken Ultra ASA? pop
The 2014 Miken Ultra 750X Maxload ASA: SULTMA Slow Pitch bat and the 2013 Miken Ultra ASA: SOULTA Slow Pitch bat are very comparable bats. It really depends on what type of bat you like to determine which is better. The 2014 Miken Ultra is a new improvement on the previous 2013 Miken Ultra. The 2014 is a end-load model and the 2013 is a more balanced model.
Robert
Is the bat okay to use with COR 44 balls? Ron
The 2014 Miken Ultra 750X Maxload ASA: SULTMA Slow Pitch should not be used with the 44 COR balls. The 44 COR balls can dent the new ASA certified bats.
Kara
How much weight is in the end of the bat? 1.5 oz.? Steve
The 2014 Miken Ultra 750X Maxload ASA: SULTMA Slow Pitch bat, and all of Miken's Maxload models, features a 0.5 oz. end load.
Mac
How would the bat perform with COR 47 balls? Jay Levine
The 2014 Miken Ultra 750X Maxload ASA: SULTMA Slow Pitch could be damaged if used with the COR 47 balls. They are harder than the newer balls that were tested for ASA bats and could dent or crack the new 2014 models. The 2013 Miken Vicious: SPVSA Slow Pitch would be a better option.

So are the 2013 Miken's better for 44. cor balls? Say like the Freak 98 (white)? georgiapride
Yes, the 2014 Miken Ultra 750X Maxload ASA: SULTMA Slow Pitch bat is made for the low compression softballs. If you need a bat for the higher compression, harder, softballs go with a much older slow pitch bat. They will not crack or dent as easily.
Brandon
Is it safe to use this bat at the batting cages? Phil
We do not recommend using any non-wood bat, like the 2014 Miken Ultra 750X Maxload ASA: SULTMA Slow Pitch bat, in a batting cage that uses yellow "dimple" balls. Those cage balls are much more dense than a softball, and they could damage or shorten the useful life of the bat.
Mac
Is the Miken Ultra 750X Maxload ASA a 2004 certified ASA bat? Wild Boy
The 2014 Miken Ultra 750X Maxload ASA: SULTMA Slow Pitch bat features the new ASA stamp and is designed to hit the new ASA softballs.
Mac
When I look the ASA illegal bats list, I see Miken Ultra Maxload but it doesn't look like the 2014 Miken Ultra 750X Maxload ASA: SULTMA slow pitch. Am I right to think that this new version of the Ultra Maxload is legal and safe to buy? Canadian Phil
The 2014 Miken Ultra 750X Maxload ASA: SULTMA Slow Pitch is on the approved bat list for ASA. Here is the link showing the bat is approved as of May 6, 2013: http://www.teamusa.org/USA-Softball/Play-ASA/Certified-ASA-Equipment.aspx
Kara
I was looking into a few bats. While researching this one I saw that you don't recommend this one with the use of 44 cor max 375 balls. What bat would you recommend to use with these balls? mark
Correct, we do not recommend the 2014 Miken Ultra 750X Maxload ASA: SULTMA Slow Pitch against the harder 44 COR balls. Any type of older model bat would handle the ball better. This bat may crack more easily against this bat.
Brandon
Is this bat legal in USSSA softball leagues? tom
No, the 2014 Miken Ultra 750X Maxload ASA: SULTMA Slow Pitch bat will be for ASA.
Brandon
Looking for a hot bat for .44 core ASA league, what would you guys recommend? bigdaddy jim
The 2014 Miken Ultra 750X Maxload ASA: SULTMA Slow Pitch bat would crush the 44 COR balls but may be more easily damaged hitting them. The best bats to hit with and hold their durability would be the bats with the older stamps and markings.
Brandon
How would this bat be for a 44 CORE 375 COMPRESSION? Sean
The 44 CORE 375 COMPRESSION are going to severely compromise the durability of the bat. You will need to use the .52 CORE 300 COMPRESSION balls with any new ASA stamped bats.
Noah
How long for this bat to loosen up and break-in? Deadist bat in our league (.52 CORE 300 compression ball). It is like hitting with a piece of concrete. No pop at all. Biggie Baller
The 2014 Miken Ultra 750X Maxload ASA: SULTMA Slow Pitch bat is a composite bat, so it may take some time for the fibers to stretch out and provide the trampoline effect you are looking for. It is designed to hit those lower compression, .52 CORE 300 COMP softballs. It seems that a lot of customers have had good experience right out of the wrapper, but your bat may still need some reps on it. If performance persists to disappoint, you may have an issue that would qualify under the 12 month warranty through Miken.
Mac
How would this work against Tattoo softballs? Is there a better ASA bat for Tattoo balls? adam
The 2014 Miken Ultra 750X Maxload ASA: SULTMA has the new ASA stamp. Bats with the new ASA stamp are made to be used with balls that are .52 core 300 compression. If the Tattoo balls you are using meet that certification this bat is awesome!
Damon
Would this bat be great for 275 compression / .40 core softballs? bambam
The 2014 Miken Ultra 750X Maxload has the new ASA stamp and is designed for .52 core / 300 compression softballs.
Damon
Will this bat be ok to use in a league that uses 325 compression / .40core? longbomber
The 2014 Miken Ultra 750X Maxload ASA: SULTMA has the new ASA stamp. Bats with the new ASA stamp are designed to be used with 300 compression / .52 core balls.
Damon
My league that I currently play in has not switched over to the 52core/300comp balls and I just purchased this bat, will this bat be fine still to use? hotshot
You will still be able to use the .44 CORE 375 Compression balls with the 2014 Miken Ultra 750X Maxload ASA: SULTMA Slow Pitch, but these balls are better suited for older ASA stamped bats. The newer bats hit these farther, but it will severely compromise the durability of the bat.
Noah
In our league were allowed to use both ASA and USSSA bats. We use an ASA 44 core and 52 Core ball. Which bat will hit the ball farther, the 750X Maxload ASA or the new more expensive, Miken Psycho? nino
The 2014 Miken Ultra 750X Maxload ASA: SULTMA Slow Pitch should be used with 52 Core bats only. The harder 44 Core balls are too hard and can damage the bat. If you are using both types of balls the 2014 Miken Psycho SuperMax USSS: SPIZMU would be the better choice.
Kara
I use the 26 oz. Ultra II Max-Load for tournament play and love it. Our league requires ASA certified bats, using the new ball. Would I be happier with a 26 oz. or 27 o.z 750X? Jim
We would recommend a 26 oz. model in the 2014 Miken Ultra 750X Maxload ASA: SULTMA Slow Pitch bat if you used a 26 oz. end loaded model previously.
Aubrey
What is the difference between the Ultra 750 and the new Miken Freak ASA bat? Seems like the same technology is in both, and both are one-piece composites. Mini
The 2014 Miken Ultra 750X Maxload ASA: SULTMA Slow Pitch bat features the same one-piece 750X HPI composite design and Maxload swing weight as the Ultra 750X. The differences between the bats are the paint schemes and that a portion of the proceeds is donated to the 4 The Fallen Organization when you purchase the 4FALMA.
Mac
Will it work in a Men's league using .375 compression and 40 core balls? Which bat would work best with that ball? bennakid24
The 2014 Miken Ultra 750X Maxload ASA: SULTMA Slow Pitch features the new ASA stamp and is designed for the lower compression balls (52 COR, 300 Compression), but will hit those softballs well. Bats certified under the new testing will be more susceptible to cracks or dents if used with the higher compression softballs like those 40 COR, 375 Compression softballs. For the best durability, you would be better-off hitting these 40 COR balls with a bat that features the older ASA stamps.
Mac
How does this bat perform with regular clincher softballs and the clincher gold balls as compared to the Freak DST bat, ASA approved? Gkenn
The 2014 Miken Ultra 750X Maxload ASA: SULTMA Slow Pitch would be a better option. It was tested with the newer, softer 52 core balls, much like the clincher balls.
Kara
I'm trying to decide between the Miken Ultra 750X MAXLOAD and the DeMarini FU-DAWG. In an unbiased opinion, which is the better bat? LTKeets
The 2014 Miken Ultra 750X Maxload ASA and the DeMarini FU-Dawg are both going to be almost identical in performance. The DeMarini will have a stiffer feel than the Miken, because of the aluminum handle on the FU-Dawg.
Noah
Is there a "balanced" version of this bat? Also, this bat is approved for ASA play even with its Ultra title? It is not a renamed Ultra II, is it? Harold
The 2014 Miken Ultra 750X Maxload ASA: SULTMA Slow Pitch is approved for ASA play because it carries the newest ASA certification mark. Even with the Ultra name, it is approved for ASA. A balanced model with a very similar design would be the 2014 Miken Recoil Balanced ASA: SRECBA.
Mac
Trying to decide between the 2014 Miken Ultra 750X Maxload ASA: SULTMA Slow Pitch and the 2014 Easton L6.0? Frank
The 2014 Miken Ultra 750X Maxload ASA: SULTMA Slow Pitch and the 2014 Easton L6.0: SP13L6 Slow Pitch are both very high performing composite bats. They use top of the line composite materials for outstanding performance and durability.
Kara
I have been using a 28oz. Easton Stealth, but not sure if I should buy the Miken 750X in a 28oz. Is there a weight difference between an Easton balanced bat, and 28 oz. Miken 750X Maxload Bat? Does the Miken feel heavier or lighter than 28 oz.? Chris
The 2014 Miken Ultra 750X Maxload ASA: SULTMA Slow Pitch will feel heavier than an Easton balanced bat. It will also feel heavier than 28 oz.
Kara
Is this bat also good for clincher softballs? It's the white ball in the green box. tony
I would not be able to recommend the 2014 Miken Ultra 750X Maxload ASA: SULTMA Slow Pitch bat for the heavier clincher softballs. You would risk damaging your 2014 Miken Ultra 750X if you did use it.
Brandon
I play in 2 ASA slow pitch leagues. One uses a no flight paper core clincher and the other a limited flight gold clinchers. I am a hard line drive type power hitter and use a 2008 orange 34" 28 oz. Mayhem. Looking for a little more pop. Do you recommend the Miken Ultra balanced or the Miken 750x Endload? The Moman
The 2014 Miken Ultra 750X Maxload ASA: SULTMA Slow Pitch would be a great choice for the clincher balls. Bats that are only ASA approved are best for softer clincher balls since ASA now tests with softer balls. An end loaded bat would be best for a power hitter.
Kara
We play with 40 COR/300 COMP ASA balls. Will this bat be good for them? Roor
The 2014 Miken Ultra 750X Maxload ASA: SULTMA Slow Pitch is intended for the 50 COR 300 COMP or 52 COR 300 COMP softer softballs, and will be more susceptible to cracking or denting with the older high compression softballs. We recommend using a model with the older 2004 ASA stamp, but unfortunately we no longer have any in stock. With that said, this model will perform well with the high compression balls, but durability-wise you may run into issues.
Katie
I use the Clincher F12 (Corker) balls in an ASA LEAGUE. Looking at the Miken Ultra 750X (SULTMA) or the Miken Ultra SOULTA. How would you rate these bats with the F12 Clinchers. Or possibly recommend better bats in the same price range - have to be ASA. Prefer balanced rather than end loaded. Thanks. Greg
The 2014 Miken Ultra 750X Maxload ASA: SULTMA Slow Pitch and the 2013 Miken Ultra ASA: SOULTA Slow Pitch would perform well with the clincher balls. The SULTMA will be end loaded and the SOULTA is balanced. Both bats are ASA approved.
Kara
How does the bat compare to the Freak? billyd
If you are comparing the 2014 Miken Ultra 750X Maxload ASA: SULTMA Slow Pitch to the 2014 Miken Freak 4 The Fallen the only differences are the color scheme and a portion of the proceeds form the Freak 4 The Fallen are donated to the 4 The Fallen Organization.
Tori
What is the BPF for this bat? Our league restricts to BPF 1.21 or less. Greg
ASA does not test for Bat Performance Factor when they certify bats; they use Ball Exit Speed results. However, this 2014 Miken Ultra 750X Maxload ASA: SULTMA Slow Pitch should offer less performance than a Senior Softball bat that is rated with a BPF of 1.21. The safest option is to check with a league director to see if they have an approved bats list, even allow bats that only feature ASA stamps, or actually run bats through a compression tester.
Mac
I have been swinging a DeMarini Steel 28 oz. bat and would like to buy the Miken Ultra 750x SULTMA. What would be an equivalent feel on the weight? Stick with 28 oz. or drop to 27 oz. to accommodate for the end load? BigBob
We recommend a 27 oz. 2014 Miken Ultra 750X Maxload ASA: SULTMA Slow Pitch to accommodate for the end load.
Kara
I have a 27 oz. FX700 Balanced. Does anyone know how this bat in a 27 oz. would compare in swing feel to my FX700? Nic
The 2014 Miken Ultra 750X Maxload ASA: SULTMA Slow Pitch, like other Maxload models from Miken, features a 0.5 oz. end load. This will offer a pretty similar swing weight when compared to the FX700 but may feel slightly heavier. However, quite a few reviews indicate that this SULTMA feels a bit lighter than other 0.5 oz. end load models.
Mac
I am looking for something that feels similar to the old Easton Synergy. How would this 750X compare? David
The 2014 Miken Ultra 750X Maxload ASA (SULTMA) is an end loaded, one-piece bat. It will feel similar to the Easton Synergy.
Kara
Will using this bat with the harder .40 or .44 compression balls void the warranty? Andy
Using .40 or .44 compression balls with the 2014 Miken Ultra 750X Maxload ASA (SULTMA ) will not void the warranty.
Kara
Is this bat legal in USSSA? jr45
The 2014 Miken Ultra 750X Maxload ASA (SULTMA) is not legal for play in the USSSA. It has the new ASA stamp but does not have the USSSA stamp which required for play in the USSSA.
Tessa L.
What would be the recommended low temp to use this bat? B Frosty
We don't recommend using bats like the 2014 Miken Ultra 750X Maxload ASA (SULTMA) Slow Pitch bat below 55 degrees.
Damon
What is the difference between the 2014 Miken Ultra 750x Maxload SULTMA, UL75MA and SPU2M? Jake
The 2015 Miken Ultra 750X Maxload ASA (UL75MA ) is the newest version of the 2014 Miken Ultra 750X Maxload ASA (SULTMA). Both use the same 750X composite materials. The 2014 Miken Ultra II Maxload Two-Piece Senior Softball (SPU2M) is a Senior Softball bat. It is not approved by major associations and does not have a warranty.
Kara
I'm 20 years old, mostly a contact hitter and I play In a league that requires a bat to be under 1.21 BPF. Would this be a good bat to use? If not what would you recommend? Mjfan
The 2014 Miken Ultra 750X Maxload ASA (SULTMA) is an end loaded bat and typically preferred by a power hitter. The 2015 Miken Ultra 750X Balanced ASA (UL75BA) is a better option for a contact hitter.
Kara
What is the best end loaded Miken bat to use in a league using .44 cor 375 compression? Jake
The 2014 Miken Ultra 750X Maxload ASA (SULTMA) is approved for ASA only and is best used with the 52 core balls. If you can use a USSSA approved bat, the 2015 Miken Izzy Psycho SuperMax (SPSYMU) is a better option to use with the .44 core balls.
Kara
Is it a 12 or 13 inch barrel? AZSun
The barrel on the 2014 Miken Ultra 750X Maxload ASA (SULTMA) Slow Pitch bat starts to taper about 13.5 inches from the tip of the end cap.
Patrick
Is this bat approved by the ASA for play in 2014? Jake
The 2014 Miken Ultra 750X Maxload ASA (SULTMA Slow Pitch) bat will be fully legal for ASA play in 2014.
Brandon
Our Mountain Ball league uses the DeBeer PN14 poly core softball. Which Miken bat would you recommend for this type of ball? I make good contact with an older Miken Ultra 26 oz. bat, but would like to get more distance. Big B
The 2014 Miken Ultra 750X Maxload ASA (SULTMA) is a one-piece fully composite design with a half ounce end load, so this would be a would be a great option to use with the DeBeer PN14 Poly Core softballs. Any heavy, one-piece (especially with an end load) is generally the recommendation for these softballs because it will provide a stiffer feel against the softer cored (often termed "mush") softballs.
Tessa L.
Is this bat single or double walled? Can't find that info anywhere. Brittany
The 2014 Miken Ultra 750X Maxload ASA (SULTMA Slow Pitch) will be a one-piece fully composite design. Composite bats are created by layers of composite woven or placed over one another to create the design. Fully composite designs will never be single wall designs.
Brandon
These models are ok in my league -- 75xult, 575xma, ul75ba, ul75ma, Looking for 34/28 slow pitch ASA. Which one do I choose? Michael
Since the Miken Ultra 750X Maxload ASA Slow Pitch Softball Bat: SULTMA and the other models are all discontinued bats it would be tough to say which one would be best to use/get. Based on previous customer feedback, we would recommend the Miken Ultra 750X Maxload ASA Slow Pitch Softball Bat: UL75MA.
